About Paul
Paul Roberts is the founder of Physio & Rehab, a private physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic based in Gatley, Stockport.
Before starting the practice in 2018, Paul spent years working full-time in NHS musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy — the specialism that covers everything from back and neck pain to joint injuries and post-operative recovery. He has also worked in private practice and with professional sports teams, building a depth of experience that ranges from everyday injuries to high-performance rehabilitation.
Paul started Physio & Rehab to offer patients something that's harder to find in a busy NHS setting: unhurried appointments, a consistent one-to-one relationship with the same physiotherapist from start to finish, and a treatment plan shaped around your life — not a standard protocol.
"I love being a physio, and I love to help people overcome challenges and solve problems." — Paul Roberts

Paul's Approach
Every patient who comes through the door is dealing with something different. The same diagnosis can affect two people in completely different ways — their job, their sport, how long they've been in pain, what they've already tried. Paul's approach starts with listening properly and understanding the full picture before reaching for any treatment.

Paul works collaboratively with his patients, guiding them through their options and finding a solution that suits them. The patient is always at the centre of everything — treatment and rehabilitation are built around your specific goals, not a standard protocol.

Appointments at Physio & Rehab are one hour for an initial assessment, giving Paul the time to take a thorough history, carry out a full examination, and explain what he's found in plain terms. From there, your care plan is shaped around what matters most to you — whether that's getting back to a sport, managing a long-term condition, or simply being able to move without pain.

Paul is HCPC registered and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, so you can book with confidence that your care meets the professional and clinical standards set by the UK's regulatory and professional bodies.
