Pineapples

Pineapples are unusual-looking fruits that have a spiny, rough exterior but a surprisingly sweet and tender center that holds a soft yellow hue. These fruits are exotic and immediately make you think of tropical climates and palm trees. I can almost smell the ocean air. Pineapples are available around the world and they have become a personal favorite of mine for a couple of reasons.

... It is best to eat the pineapples first thing in the morning ...

As an avid dieter, I am always looking for quick tips to burn fat. One of those tips is to include pineapples in your daily servings of fruit and vegetables. It is best to eat the pineapples first thing in the morning. They naturally curb your appetite while kicking your metabolism into gear. The beauty of having the fruit for breakfast is that it can be prepared well in advance. This quick-access may keep you from grabbing that quick cereal bar instead.

... Pineapples provide the perfect cure for a stubborn sweet tooth ...

I have used the pineapples-for-breakfast for quick weight loss and I have never been disappointed. I also like to use the approach for maintenance. Pineapples provide the perfect cure for a stubborn sweet tooth and they are effective in appetite suppression. I like to eat a few chunks before going somewhere that involves a lot of fattening dishes, like weddings or holiday gatherings.

I often make pineapples a part of any party I throw. There are many ways to present the fruit. I try not to cook it. Actually, I try not to cook at all. The fruit is most beneficial when it is served fresh. One of my favorite ways to present it is to make a boat out of the outer shell.

... second benefit of pineapples is that they may fight cancer ...

The second benefit of pineapples is that they may fight cancer. Researchers have found two molecules that can be extracted from the stems of pineapples. The crushed stems contain molecules that have been shown to fight the growth of cancer in some studies. The first molecule is CCS. This blocks a defective protein found in many cancers. The other molecule is CCZ. This helps build the body’s natural immune system to fight existing cancer in the body.

... there may be a correlation between the metabolism-building effects and the cancer-fighting agencies found in pineapples ...

Hopefully this research will lead to a future anti-cancer drug that can be used to successfully treat cancer. I can’t help but think that there may be a correlation between the metabolism-building effects and the cancer-fighting agencies found in pineapples. I also wonder if there are cancer-fighting elements aside from the natural antioxidants found in the fruit. The molecules from the research are only found in the stems.
