try strapping ice to ur triceps to reduce the swelling. maybe that will help. i’m assuming that it’s sore, but it could be something else. if ice doesn’t work, i suggest u see a doctor.

the triceps do get used slightly on the rower, one of the heads of the triceps joins in a similar position to the lat. dorsi muscles of the back.
Try a more prolonged warm up routine first to see how the triceps feel, after 5 mins gradually increase the intensity.
You could also try to use the bike or treadmill and avoid upper body moves for the moment.
Also try to rub some ‘deep heat’ or ‘tiger balm’ into the area if you have some.

You may just have a case of the DOMS which is nothing too much to worry about and it will heal in time.

The Hot/Cold treatment of ice and a hot water bottle may help, but don’t leave either on there for too long or else it can negate the effects of this type of treatment.

Sounds like you have D.O.M.S. delayed offset muscle soreness, this is typical of anyone starting a fitness regime in the gym. It can last for up to a week if particularly painful – there may be a possibility you have damaged a muscle, please take care.

What type of schedule do you have?
Has it been compiled by a qualified instructor?
Are you doing far to much too fast?
Is your aim to tone or to lose weight?

You should also remember to stretch for 10-15 minutes before and after training this will reduce the effect of D.O.M.S. Best advice is speak to instructor at the gym and get a programme that fits your needs, take it slowly and include a relaxing swim or sauna afterwards to help relax muscles. The sauna will also help release any toxins built up in the body helping you feel refreshed and ready for the next day.
