I’m sorry, but what is SPD? Giving more info on that might help.
Edit: Oh ouch! Other than keeping off your feet and taking tylenol (only pain reliever that is safe) I’m not sure. You have my sympathies though.

HI yes swimming will help, but how far along are you?also heat pads, and a pillow under your back at night if you haven’t got a firm mattress, good luck, you have my sympathy. hi again just editing to ask weather you have tried a tens machine? it passes electric pulses over the effected area which release natural endorphins to ease pain, ask your doctor, good luck.

SPD is common in pregnancy it is were the pregnancy hormones relax smooth muscle allow movement of the pelvic joint, which is normal as baby when the time comes needs to be able to come through your pelvis. When getting up try to keep your knees together, use paracetamol if you are not allergic, you can take 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours but no more than 8 in a 24 hour period. Heat packs can help as well as warm baths. When in bed lie on your left hand side with a pillow in between your legs. When the time comes for you to have your baby, deliver in the kneeling position on the bed or all fours position this will help. The physio will give you some tips but the only cure is delivery of your baby because your hormones will settle back down.
For some people SPD can be very debilitating leaving them in a wheelchair for the duration of the pregnancy,
