A chartered physio is a physio who pays money every year to join the chartered society of physiotherapy. It is not requirement in law to do this but its a bit like a union and info centre, she gets to call herself chartered and use some of the CSP's services such as advertisment. It doesn't make any difference to the qualification an any way and she is not necessarily any better than the other one you are worried about. One of my colleagues is a physio (private) and I can assure you that differences can be felt after one session, I have witnessed this for myself.

However... using the title of physiotherapist is now a protected title under law and anyone who wishes to practice as a physio should register with HPC who is the professional body. Please check out the link below, it tells you how to check if she is registered.

Try not to argue with your man over this, do you really want to risk damage to your relationship over something you cannot change?

From what I gather from you think she is trying to make a move. And from what I gather from your question.Hate to say it.... probably is. I think all you can do is be as concious as possibel. Monitor the situation very closely. And if your at a point where your really uncomforting, get out, or really talk to this guy about whats going. And make a truly wise fully informed choice.

Best adive I have.... Not too much relationships experience I have. HOPE I HELPED...some what!
