    I believe that if you are not addressing the problem surgically, most physical therapy centers on strengthening the muscles opposite the spine shape problem. If the scoliosis is twisting the spine to the right, then strengthen the muscles on the left some to see if they can pull the vertebrae back into alignment. For the kyphosis, strengthen the muscles that pull the shoulders back to try to lessen the hunched over posture.
