I think it does. I dare not stay in bed on a weekend much past an extra hour. If I do I wake with the most horrendous headache which I cannot get rid of. So I will be watching for any clues.

It definitely makes me feel like crap. I have a hard time snapping out of it so I eat a lot of carbs to try and get me out of the funk.

too little or too much sleep is bad, yes it is possible to get a headache frm too much sleep. the best thing to do is take painkillers of some sort and try only to get 8 hours sleep at the most, i assume your an adult so 6-8 hours is enough, 8-9 hours for a growing child as sleep develops their brains and minds

I would avoid sleeping for that leingth of time… I personally think when your resting your heart rate goes down. If you keep it down for too long you just feel like you have a hangover.

Firstly – yes, too much sleep will do this. Too much sleep on a regular basis will also make you go insane, same as if you don’t get enough sleep. And the more you sleep, the more tired you will feel in the long run

How to get rid of the headache? Take a long hot shower if possible – the steam will de-clog you and clear your head a little. Ideally, you should go jogging for 10 minutes, then take the shower – you’ll be fine after that.

Here’s an interesting article about what excess sleep can do for you.

Look at it this way – if you went 11 hours during the day with no water would you get a head ache?…ofcourse you would…if you drink alot of alcohol without any water before you go to bed you will wake up with the mother of all head aches – its your body going through dehydration
