My kneecap is moving out of place – something to do with the ligaments.

My physio gave me a list of exercises to do everyday, went through them with me to make sure I could do them. Mostly muscle strengthening, though obviously yours may well be different.

She checked my back, posture, bent me back and forth, watched me walk up and down, and tested how much strength I had in both legs.

She also checked family history, other bones and joints – it was very thorough.

Wear your nice underwear – I had to strip down to my undies so she could check my spine alignment and spine movement.

Before going to Therapist, go to Orthopaedic and consult with him on what is wrong with your knee. He will analyze and give a note to PT on what to do.

It it’s a sprain, then brace and ice it for 2 weeks. Then gradually start stretching and strengthening exercise to build your thigh muscles.

    Good luck with your recovery
