Go to your GP and get a referral for physio – it can take up to 3months to get an appointment, but once you have the letter you can always make discreet enquiries at the physio dept to see if anyone does private treatment (most of them do!).

I would definately recommend physio though – as it uses many techniques such as manipulation, interferrential therapy (like TENS), some even use acupuncture with it.
Try an Osteopath, the treatment is more gentle than a Chiropractor. I go to one on a regular basis.
