Frequently. Have an ‘eye break’ – go to the kitchen drink plenty of water.

I was so bored at work I started to suffer from stress. Health and Safety signed me off work. Great answer to the problem. THen I just dreaded going back. Have since left and am starting a new career in law – love having to learn new info every day:):) So the solution is talk to your boss (mine was sympathetic but didn’t help) or find another job….easier said than done I know….

yes and that’s why I gave them my 2 weeks notice! I felt the stress that gave me an upset stomache and headackes. I was unhappy and frustrated all the time. It’s not worth it (or atleast it wasn’t for me) to stay at a job where I did absolutely nothing no matter how much they were paying me. Your solution is to find happiness. You can either stay there, but if the job will continue to be boring, then for your (health) sake I suggest you try to research and learn something either through the internet or reading a book. Discover what you’re passionate about. If your job continues to be boring and you can’t use the internet for personal things, or read, etc., then in my opinion you may want to look for another job.

well i have worked in a call centre before and actually fell asleep whilst someone was talking to me, and had a disciplinary! if its that bad find another job/career, i have moved four times before i actually found a job that was for me, and lets face it if your finding it that boring, your not going to progress with that company.

    Yes, daily!

It depends who you work for, if it’s a large organisation you can contact HR and complain about the conditions, it may be poor lighting or lack of fresh air that’s causing the headaches – I know it is here.

If it’s a smaller company I’d ask your line manager for some more interesting projects to work on to keep your mind active and make the day go quicker. Tell them you want to develop your career but sell it to them that you’ll be doing them favour by learning more!

yes. i got headaches, stomache aches, tired eyes, problems concentrating, stiff back, restless, etc.

what i did to help was i tried to keep water at my desk so i wouldnt get dehydrated or anything like that, and a little snack like peanut butter crackers or something with proteins and carbs for energy.

i tried to stay away from coffee and energy drinks because they would make my energy crash part way through the work day.

try to take breaks if you can or on your lunch break lay your head down and close your eyes for 5 minutes. this helps a lot. try not to do work on your lunch breaks.

hope this helps. just my opinion.
