Hi, I dont the answer to your question, it seems to me that you and you wife have been very unfortunate to have both suffered from cancer, but I am pleased to hear that you are both fine now, just carry on and enjoy your lives together
one in three people contracy some sort of cancer, so when you think about it its not that unusual.
i’m glad you are both well, i have lost people to cancer, and now my dog has it too.
look after each other, and look forward to all those years you still have together x
My friends, husband and wife both had bowel cancer, he had 1987, had op, lived. She not op, died within months, 2001. He has since beat cancer 3 more times !! Including ****** cancer…..
I work in an oncology office and we see quite a few couples and family members. Sometimes the cause can be environmental…this would make sense when you see two people who live together.Human pappiloma virus is often the cause of cervical cancer but i am not sure wether it can cause cancer in men or not. You had cancer many years apart…I would guess it is just coincidence. Thankfully you are both survivors! I wish you many more years together!
I have to agree, that does sound unusual, glad you are both fine, I visited somebody 2 weeks ago who gave up smoking 30 years ago, he has just been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Strange world!
Glad you are both doing well now.
My parents have both had cancer TWICE, not the same cancers, both have been clear for over 10 years and doing well.
I had never heard of 2 parents having so many cancers.
My mum has never smoked and Dad stopped after his first was diagnosed
No it is not rare. I know several cases and both I and my ex-husband have had the disease. I really believe you should stop thinking about it at all and enjoy your life.
When it comes to cancer, nothing is ‘out of the norm’ – cancer does not choose its victims necessarily by the lifestyle they have lead, or whom one lives with. Scientific research shows those that are smokers, eat unhealthily blah, blah, you know the story, are more prone to getting cancer, but that’s just it – more prone to it and nothing else. We all have ‘cancer cells’ if you like, present, it is just what it will take to trigger them off and they will mutate and multiply up to 60 times each cell. My dad has cancer of the esophagus, doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke, yet this is what he is fighting. No logic there, but like I said, something has triggered it, be it stress or something else. Going back to your original question – my collegue, who is now the one that keeps my strenght up due to the above mentioned has gone through a lot with her parents, both of them. We are talking 20 years ago now. Her mum was diagnosed with ****** cancer, and shortly after that, her dad developed throat cancer. Doctors did suggest that stress of her mum’s condition probably had an impact on her dad. Since then, her dad had a heart attack, and her mum had meningitis. Touch wood, they are still clear all those years on. So, it isn’t unusual, there is no pattern when it comes to cancer. It is just unfair. Statistics speak for themselves – 1 in 3 of us will get it. Who survives is another statistic – but just a statistic.
Hope both of you stay clear of this dreadful disease indefinitely, and I am pleased you both well! Best wishes to you both.
there’s supplement and pills that have a high concentrate steroid use….i have asked a doctor..this steroid can cause cancer…before you and your partner get the cancer..have you eat any supplement or pills?
I think you have both been unlucky, but I am so pleased to hear you are both ok now.
Blessings to you both!
Bad luck mate.
Cancer is a *******. I hope you’re both free of it now.

Some people (or couples) win the lottery twice. Some people get struck by lighting twice.
It is great that both of you are fine by now. Sometimes stats play not so funny tricks on people.
In your case(es) the two are most likely unrelated.
Live your life as normal as possible!
Best of luck to both of you!
Glad you are both doing well now.

Well. they don’t really have anything to do with one another. They are not linked. You were just unlucky. Glad that you are both better!
